David Copperfield is an American entertainer known for his stage illusions, he has won 21 Emmys till date , and his net worth is $1 Billion.

Born David Kotkin on September 16, 1956 in Metuchen, New Jersey, David Copperfield has been doing magic tricks ever since.

Copperfield began out in the entertainment industry as a ventriloquist when he was just 10 years old.

Despite never finishing Charles Dickens' David Copperfield, he changed  his stage name from  "Davino" to David  Copperfield.

The Society of American Magicians accepted David at an remarkably young age of 15.

When he was just a teenager, he appeared in the Chicago production of "The Magic Man" and taught a course on magic at New York University.

Copperfield's big break came when the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) signed him to advertise the 1977–78 television season. He then worked on CBS specials.

Copperfield used grand illusions to advertise TV shows, such as flying across the Grand Canyon, walking along the Great Wall of China, and disappearing the Statue of Liberty!

The popularity of his one-off performances inspired him to develop a theatrical show that incorporated music, dancing, and intricate plots.

Copperfield cut back on his TV appearances in the 1990s & made his Broadway debut in 1996 and debuted a touring production in 1999.

Copperfield's Las Vegas show has been operating since 1996 and has become one of the most successful shows in the city's history.
